Projects are underway that will impact Kirkland for generations. Get involved, stay informed, and keep asking questions. Together we can keep the traditions of our town alive by preserving the land and character that makes Kirkland so special.
Solar “farms” historically fail to deliver results, cost savings, job creation, substantial local tax injections, ethical construction practices, and true end-of-life decommissioning. There is nothing green about exploiting land - farmland, wetlands, protected habitats, etc. - in the name of “green energy”. Foreign-owned solar giants will take as much land as possible, make their money, and leave us to clean up the mess and swallow our losses.
